Danai Ndawi is an Associate Family Law Lawyer at Family Law Solutions. She is licensed to practise law in Zimbabwe, Ontario, and Saskatchewan, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022.
Ms. Ndawi earned her LL.B. from the University of Zimbabwe in 2012 and began her legal career in Zimbabwe, appearing before various courts and tribunals, including the Zimbabwe Supreme Court. In Canada, she served as Duty Counsel with Legal Aid Saskatchewan until March 2025, managing a broad range of criminal law matters and regularly appearing for bail hearings, sentencings, and trials. A particularly meaningful aspect of her work was in the Pelican Narrows Cree Court, where she supported Indigenous communities and clients facing multiple challenges—experience that continues to shape her culturally sensitive and empathetic advocacy.
At Family Law Solutions, Ms. Ndawi assists clients with separation agreements, decision‑making responsibility and parenting time, child and spousal support, property division, and divorce. She is deeply committed to access to justice and brings extensive experience working with vulnerable populations.
Fluent in English and Shona, and experienced in cross‑cultural legal contexts, she offers a global perspective and thoughtful legal guidance. Outside of practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, learning about different cultures and religions, and often jokes that she might have pursued a career in comedy in another life.
